To kick-off the start to our 2018 all-school Winter Olympic Games, we played a bobsledding math game. My students partnered up with a game board and a set of dice. They used their addition skills to match numbers on the bobsled. Once completed, each team earned a prize! These kindergarteners are SO smart!
Our Valentine’s Day celebration was a fun-filled time of crafting penguin bags, passing out our valentines and playing BINGO! We celebrated on February 13th this year because the 14th fell on Ash Wednesday. Bishop Powers requested that we celebrate the day before. Many thanks to our parent volunteers and our reading teacher, Mrs. Fey, for helping make our party such a success!
It was so fun meeting the characters from the Drama Club Play, Snow White Lite! Mrs. Wagner was honored to be able to direct such a talented group of students! Kindergarten got a special meet-and-greet with the cast after the play and some of them even had siblings in it. It was very exciting for both younger and older students! Happy Catholic Schools Week! We love our school!
