What an exciting time we had reading on Monday with our new 4th grade buddies! Every Monday at noon Mrs. Dumont’s 4th grade class will come down to our class to read with us! Kindergarten will also get a chance to read to their 4th grade friend too!

My Friends Know My Name
This week we practiced language art and math centers! My students learned how to rotate to different centers and had to independently remember what the expectation was at each one! Mrs. Wagner’s center on Wednesday was making name mosaics and talking about how the first letter of our name is upper case, while the rest of the letters (typically) are lower case. They were so proud of their art work and did a beautiful job!
Solar Eclipse and Kindergarten Week 2
What an awesome way to start a week? Going down in history, Monday, August 21st, 2017 Solar Eclipse Day! We had so much fun learning about what a solar eclipse is, making crafts (some edible and some not) and just being in kindergarten! On Tuesday we were introduced to literacy centers. My students liked them so much, they were sad when we had to go to lunch.
