In kindergarten, EVERYTHING is hands-on!  We invited the second graders to join us at the end of the day to learn more about guinea pigs!  Our class pets, Jupiter and Fizzy, were good sports.  Not only did we learn a little more about guinea pigs, but we also learned more about what it means to own a pet.  My students help me do everything, from holding them to cleaning their house, to giving them their vitamins each day.  We know that having a pet is a huge responsibility and it takes patience and empathy.
