Not many people can say that they’ve played bingo and built forts all in the same day! We did! After an exciting hour and a half of all-school Christmas bingo, we spent the rest of our afternoon in relaxing forts and under tables reading!

Merry Christmas From Kindergarten!
On the last day of school of 2017 we spent the day celebrating Jesus! We attended mass, read special stories, played bingo, and had a fort-building party.
Celebrating in the Atrium
Faith Formation invited students up to their office (located on the second floor just across from The Atrium classroom) for a special song and treat. Their office is decorated like a peaceful, winter wonderland and kindergarten enjoyed seeing their friendly faces on a “non-atrium” day! Thank you Miss Katie and Miss Emily! Catechesis of the Good Shepard is an awesome program that my students love!
Afternoon Christmas Readers
During the last week of school before break, we had many special readers come into our classroom to share Christmas stories with us. Thank you to those who read to our class! It was a very special activity just before Christmas (and the treats were yummy too)!
A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving Feast
On the Tuesday before Thanksgiving break, kindergarten, both first grade classes and second grade got together for a big afternoon party! The teachers made 4 stations, one in each classroom, mixed our students up and had them visit each classroom in a rotation! It was a fun way for k-2 to spend time together. My classroom was the Charlie Brown room! Mrs. Fey and I read A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving and our students made their own version of his Thanksgiving feast of toast, jelly beans, popcorn and pretzels. It was super yummy trail mix!
